Classes
At The Garden, we want to equip and empower you throughout your spiritual journey. Whether you’re new or have been attending the church for a while, the following classes will help you take the next step in growing and developing as a disciple.
Introduction to the Bible
The Bible is the primary way God has chosen to speak to us. But what is actually contained within it? In this course, we will survey the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation, in order to discover what it says and how to make sense of it all. By seeing the larger picture of God's plan, we can begin to get a better sense of the Kingdom of God and our place within it. Come discover anew the Book that has changed the course of history, and continues to change lives today!
Dates: 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5
Living Your Divine Purpose
Each one of us has a special Divine Purpose. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s masterpiece, uniquely designed by Him for a special purpose. Your greatest joy and most significant impact on earth will be directly related to the discovery and accomplishment of that purpose, and this class will help you to discover it and live it out. Come discover your Divine Purpose and live your life fully for His Kingdom!
Dates: 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2
Marriage Builder
Dates: 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21
Starting Point
Dates: 6/4, 6/11, 6/25, 7/2
Parenting Through God's Perspective
Parenting is no easy task, but thankfully, God has given us perspective and principles to guide us along the way. This four-week course will focus on four different aspects of parenting, one each week: finding your parenting style, communication, discipline, and understanding teens. Each session will combine the theoretical and practical in a friendly, lecture-discussion format, and keep God's desire for us to raise up Godly children at the forefront.
Dates: 8/6, 8/13, 8/20, 8/27
Questioning Faith: Facing Objections to Christianity
“There can't be just one true religion.” “How could a good God allow suffering?” “You can't take the Bible literally.” In this course, we will not only discuss questions/issues such as these, but we will also discuss how to engage and have meaningful conversations with seekers who are struggling with these questions. By answering the skeptics and providing reasons for faith, we will experience firsthand what it means when the Bible says “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
Dates: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1
baptism class
Baptism is an outward sign of an inward choice—a public demonstration of a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ. We believe that when someone has taken the first step toward Christ, surrendering to Him as Lord and Savior, the next step is to make that decision public through baptism. If you've made a decision to follow Christ and have yet to take this step, we invite you to make a public profession of your faith through baptism.
garden membership
Church membership is more than just attending Sunday gatherings—it’s joining, committing, and investing in a spiritual family. The decision to become a church member impacts your life, the local church, and the world for God’s Kingdom! In this class, Pastor David will share our church’s history, mission, and values. At the end of class, you will have an opportunity to commit to membership.
CULTIVATE
Jesus came into the world not to be served, but to serve. Therefore, the call to lead in the church is the call to serve. In this class, we go over what it means to be a servant leader in our church.
